What is Nicki Minaj’s net worth?
With a net worth of $150 million, Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-American rapper, model, actress, and R&B singer-songwriter.
Her rapid ascent to fame was significantly propelled by a trio of highly successful mixtapes released between 2007 and 2009. In 2010, she debuted her album “Pink Friday,” which achieved massive success and featured the quadruple Platinum hit “Super Bass.” Nicki became the first female artist to have seven tracks concurrently charting on the Billboard 100.
Following her debut, she launched a second album that surpassed the success of the first, along with numerous additional chart-topping albums and a plethora of singles. Over her career, Minaj has collected more than 100 prestigious awards, such as six American Music Awards, 10 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, and two People’s Choice Awards, and she has received 10 Grammy Award nominations. Lil Wayne, a fellow American rapper, was instrumental in her discovery. In May 2017, she broke Aretha Franklin’s long-standing record for the most songs by a female artist on the Hot 100, a record held for over 40 years. It is important to note, however, that many of Nicki’s hits feature her as a collaborator, unlike Aretha, who was the primary credited artist on all 73 of her tracks.
Early Life
Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj on December 8, 1982, in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago, is the eldest of five siblings. As a child, she resided with her grandmother in Saint James. Her mother, Carol, had relocated to New York City for her studies at Monroe College. At the age of five, Nicki and her siblings moved to Queens, New York, with their mother, who worked in payroll and accounting. Minaj’s father struggled with addiction and was known for his violent temper; he infamously set the family home ablaze in December 1987.
After gaining acceptance into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where she pursued her dream of acting, Minaj was later cast in the Off-Broadway production “In Case You Forget.” To support herself financially, she worked at Red Lobster in the Bronx, but was dismissed for being rude to customers. As she stated, she was fired from “at least 15 jobs” due to her behavior.

It’s important to mention that many of Nicki’s tracks feature her as a guest artist, whereas Aretha was the sole credited artist on all 73 of her songs. With over 100 significant awards to her name, Minaj’s accolades include six American Music Awards, 10 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, and two People’s Choice Awards. Real Estate
For nearly ten years, Nicki Minaj primarily rented and did not own any real estate in the United States. For instance, starting August 2016, she and Meek Mill rented a mansion in Beverly Hills at a monthly cost of $35,000. This home, constructed in 2008, was built on the grounds of Frank Sinatra’s former residence. The sprawling 10,340-square-foot dwelling offers sweeping views of the city and mountains, featuring a two-story foyer, a spacious living room complete with a fireplace, and arched French doors that open to the outdoors. It includes an eat-in kitchen, a library adorned with wood panels and built-ins, a formal dining room, a family room, and a total of eight bedrooms. The outdoor area boasts a swimming pool, spa, and barbecue space. After their breakup, Mill vacated the property, leaving Minaj to occupy it until February 2018, when she also moved out.
In the following years, Nicki resided in a rented mansion in Calabasas, California.
Finally, in late 2022, Nicki made her first real estate purchase. In December 2022, she acquired a newly-built home in Hidden Hills, California, paying $19.5 million for the 12,000-square-foot residence, which had never been listed on the market before she acquired it.
